Fine overall experience. Appealing hotel, spotless, efficient staff and the beds were great. The location was unbeatable, within easy walking distance of a tranquil beachfront park. The restaurant was good for dinner, I tried delicious dishes.

This was my third time staying in this hotel. However, this was the first time for leisure. I have to say I love it even more for leisure. The staff is very helpful. The "outdoor wristband" (if you want to use pool and outdoor amenities you have to have a wrist band) is new and I'm not really a fan, however, when we asked for two extras for our sons because we had only received two at check in, they were very reasonable and happily gave us two more (and a pack of toy dinosaurs for our younger son). The poolside service is very prompt. My kids love the water park. The drink selection is good. The food at Monkitail is just amazing. I really can't say enough good things about Monkitail. I've been impressed the 4 times I've gone. I have not visited the other formal restaurants on site so I cannot speak to those. (Significant other is vegan - Monkitail has a good selection). Overall, the experience is amazing. It's also a little more laid back than Miami which I like without giving up the quality.

Not a place to go if you want to get away
b In general: /b I plan large scale corporate meetings and trade shows and another planner and myself flew down to have a girls weekend. However the hotel was clearly over capacity between a cheerleading event and some type of Christian youth event. Rooms had to be 4 plus people and the lines for elevators were crazy. We were trying to go to dinner one night and we waited 15 min with no room on 7 different elevators that stopped...we eventually took the stairs down 9 flights. Also I went to use the restroom outside by the pool and went into the ladies and a male custodian was in there. There was no sign and when he saw me he continued to clean without stepping out. I felt very weird about having a man in the bathroom which is in a sort of hidden location of the pool. I have a degree in hospitality and never thought a resort like this would allow something like that. I notified the front desk so I hope hotel policies looks into that. br/ b Location and surroundings: /b There was not much around. br/ b Room: /b The hotel was overbooked so I got the 1 king instead of the 2 beds I requested and they ran out of bath towels as there were so many people staying it took 2 days to get the towels replaced. br/

It was all great except for the expensive valet parking where it took up to 15 minutes to get the car.

Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Beautiful rooms and beach and pool area.
For an umbrella, which is absolutely necessary, you would have to pay 20$ per day additionally..... No public parking nearby. Food in the hotel very expensive.

Very nice staff.
Way too expensive breakfast (but it was excellent!) In some places the air conditioning was much too cold!

Breakfast is very good and very expensive, as there are always more than 25% extra costs for tips and taxes. The beach in front of the hotel offers sporting activities when the weather is good. The staff was very accommodating and gave us an upgrade. All in all, it is recommended that you always check your invoices when travelling to the USA.
